Lisa Roderick of the Wakefield, MA, Rotary Club visited us once again. Erin served as acting president, treasurer and acting sergeant-at-arms! We were happy to induct Alice Pearce as a transfer member to our club. See photo below.
Gail deposited a happy ten having had a great 2019! Elizabeth Ford forgot her badge. Pete distributed an updated club roster and said, “Happy New Year.” He added,
“Here’s one more resolution,
This could be your best solution:
First you need to drink more
That way you can CLYNK more
And that can be YOUR contribution!”
CLYNK stands at $129.40.
George congratulated Susan on her closing today. Recently, George spoke with Bob Cruickshank who wished us well. Dr. Joe’s and Vickie’s granddaughter, Marybeth, was engaged to be married during their Christmas visit. Melanie welcomed granddaughter number 7 on December 23. Richard matched Dr. Joe’s five with a five of his own just to say he’s happy to be with everyone. Tracy is happy that Larry is getting a new car. Why? Because she’ll get Larry’s not-old old car! Larry’s recent surgery went well. Lisa Roderick shared an important piece of advice she picked up on Facebook… write a date in the form mm/dd/2020 not mm/dd/20 because mm/dd/20 can be modified without your being aware. She also made available raffle tickets to her club’s fundraiser – dinner for two anywhere in the world! Tickets are $100. Alice’s son visited over the holidays back from his studies in Switzerland. Susan prefers 2020 to 2019. Erin and Rick surprised daughters Casi and Lexi with a Christmas together in Florida.
Jyoti missed out on the $136 50/50 by drawing the 9 of hearts and the 3 of clubs.
