We had four visitors today. Richard Lyons and Yvette Legge are Rotarians in the Portsmouth club. Lisa Roderick is a frequent visitor from the Wakefield, MA club. Jennifer Crosby came to talk about the Amtrak Downeaster.
Ed Smith said it rained four days straight during the “worse cruise ever.” Nancy called everyone’s attention to George’s cameo appearance about 4 minutes into the parody video for Riverwoods in Durham. Tracy’s new car has heated seats. George is headed on a 14-day district trip to Colombia. Heath and his partner now own the Nellie Littlefield Inn at 27 Shore Road. Ed Seppa thanked Heath for his recent contributions to our club’s Facebook page. Pete came through once again with,

Emily reported that the board recommends a $250 donation to LifeFlight of Maine. Dr. Joe moved to approve the donation; Kerry Ellen seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
Emily introduced Jennifer Crosby, the Marketing and Sales Coordinator for the
Northern New England Passenger Rail Authority, who shared a wealth of helpful information about the Amtrak Downeaster. As may of our members know from having traveled the train, it runs between Brunswick and Boston. Ms. Crosby urged us to check the Downeaster website for discounts before booking travel. The organization also offers 30% discounts on medical travel. Ms. Crosby raffled off two free Downeaster tickets, which were won by visitor Richard Lyons.
