The Rotary Club of
Ogunquit

Recap of January 8, 2026 Meeting
Great turnout today at our winter location — For the Love of Food and Drink at Saltwater Farm. Guests included ADG Pam Gray and Dick Cressey.

Kerry was pleased to bid farewell to 2025; she is thankful for the new year! In his customary role, Pete led us in the recitation of the Four-Way Test. You betcha!

In happy dollars, several folks were pleased with today’s food. Elizabeth saw a great show in New York; Marjorie Prime starring 96-year-old June Squibb. Ed Smith has learned that the work on the Dunaway could be completed by June. Might we be able to go ahead with the 2 Cent Sale there? Brenda is headed to several locations in Florida including a Rotary gathering of over 500 District Governors-elect and some relaxation spots. Alice enjoyed family gatherings over the holidays. Dr. Joe is happy that this is the start of his 50th year as a Rotarian. He will be traveling with his grandson to Norway to visit Arne, his Rotary exchange student from years ago. Erin thanked everyone for making the holiday luncheon a big success. Eric will see his alma mater, Ball State, play basketball at UMass-Amherst. Nancy is grateful that all is well with her family after the holidays. Rick is thankful for members help and concern in connection with Mark’s quadruple bypass. Pete expressed concern that the CLYNK accounting at Hannaford might be faulty. (Please send Pete an email when you drop off an Ogunquit Rotary LCYNK bag.)

It's a new year with a new venue

Complete with a brand new menu!

But nothing new about what's happening with CLYNK

Haven't a clue about what to think!

Erin will send out a sign-up genius for the Day of Warming at the Wells-Ogunquit Center in Moody on Valentine’s Day, February 14.

Brenda expressed thanks for our support of the Rotary Foundation. The board will discuss an opportunity to support a global grant for a project in Uganda.

Susan spoke about January being the month of mindfulness about mental well-being.

Tracy mentioned that the Ogunquit Police Department is in need of 5 gallon buckets for the sand-and salt program. Kerry will look for more information and to see if our club can assist.

See you at our next Saltwater Farm on Thursday, January 22.
