At what we all hope will be the final remote club meeting, spirits were high in anticipation of getting together at Jonathan’s on July 1. Ed Smith plans to move our Rotary sign from the Chamber of Commerce to Jonathan’s. Some folks had other reasons to be happy. Dr. Joe’s granddaughter recently visited for a couple of weeks. Erin wished Elizabeth Ford happy birthday – her 70th! A woman approached Ed Smith to tell him she remembered having seen him at one of our 2 Cents Sale events. Bob is pleased that the plants at Rotary Park look healthy. Pete read a new Clynk poem to report $576.50 in total.
Yours truly had the winning card game ticket. Casi Haye drew two cards for me… the 4 of clubs and the 8 of hearts… so sad! The pot now holds $238.
Dr. Joe reported that District 7780 accepted the final report on the Villa Clarin Community Center district grant in Colombia. He praised the work of Nancy Lowenberg and Brianna Castro in helping to close out this project.
Erin is working with Oceanside Printers on the paper tickets for the 2 Cents Sale Raffle. Speaking of raffle tickets, you can sign up for a day/time slot at either Perkins Cove or Dorothea Jacobs Grant Commons. We are very fortunate to have these opportunities to sell tickets in person; let’s not pass this up! Click here to sign up.
Reminder: please bring $21 in cash or check to lunch on July 1st.
