The Rotary Club of
Ogunquit

Regular meeting on Friday, February 19, 2021
As daylight time increases we again look forward to beach walks under blue skies. Taking this a step further, no pun intended, President Susan is eager for our club to engage in a beach cleanup. Toward that end, she invited Emma Murzic, the Outreach Coordinator of the Blue Ocean Society for Marine Conservation, to speak to the club. As you’ll see in the video recording of Friday’s meeting, Ms. Murzic gave us an informative overview of the multiple ways the organization works to protect the Gulf of Maine and its resources. The Blue Ocean Society conducts marine debris research and cleanup efforts, engages in outreach to schools, operates the Blue Ocean Discovery Center and leads whale watches. At the conclusion of her presentation, Ms. Murzic answered questions from club members. President Susan then moved the meeting on to happy dollars and a review of the most recent board of directors meeting. You can catch up on those details via the video recording of the meeting. Here's the link: https://youtu.be/NDmkVVZTbeU
