No doubt you’ve been wondering, “Where the heck is the Friday recap?” Truth is, the delightful fall weather temporarily delayed the effort but, alas, here it is!
Last Friday was Bob’s swan song as summer president. In his finale, he welcomed Heath Ouellette as our newest member.
Sergeant at Arms Ed fined the badgeless pair, George and Emily. Emily paid, George didn’t. Ed also reported on a quiet and safe town of Ogunquit through the nor’easter. Pete didn’t disappoint…
No lights, no heat, no power?
Cold shave ok, cold shower?
NO WAY!
But Clynk I’d estimate today,
As one twenty-five, let’s say!
Susan was happy about the fall colors and no power outage. Ray was happy that his power had just returned. Lisa celebrated her new grandson, Duke. Ed Seppa thanked Bob for pitch-hitting for Emily and Susan DeQuattro for stepping up to a key role on the Wilkinson Scholarship committee. Kerry had a happy, happy, happy 20 to welcome Heath and to express delight over her trip to Ireland. Bob thanked Emily for asking him to step in at the Changeover dinner; he is headed back to Florida. Tracy reminded us that Ogunquitfest is this Saturday. Erin thanked Pete for making us laugh every week. She also thanked John, Tracy, and Heath for helping dress Rotary Park for Halloween (see photo.)
George drew the 3 of Hearts and the 6 of Diamonds thereby kissing off $86.
After Heath was inducted as a member (see photo) we moved into the business part of the meeting – brainstorming ideas for speakers. All in all, 17 suggestions were put forth. Bob then reviewed the highlights of the October 10 board of directors meeting. Mark December 12 on your calendar – that’s the date of the holiday luncheon at Jonathan’s.
As there was no time to brainstorm ideas for club projects, Emily asked that members forward project ideas to her by email at
emily_e_frechette@keybank.com.
Richard suggested that the club consider raising funds to donate a four-faced “town square” clock to the town of Ogunquit.
See you at Ogunquitfest!
