We were pleased to have numerous folks join us; two long-term friends and two first-time visitors. AG Larry Marsolais and DGN Peggy Belanger returned. Phil Chura, an Exeter Rotarian, and Naomi Paris of Wells rounded out the list.
Reviewing the day’s happy/sad dollars… Ed Smith told of the very sad early passing of Justin Perry (some may remember Mr. Perry visiting us at a time when it appeared he might prevail in his battle against cancer)… Pete noted our Clynk account reaching $151.35… Richard expressed heartfelt gratitude for members’ kindness toward him and Mary in recent years… Nancy was pleased that Phil Chura, who is a professional photographer, was able to visit… Phil told of the lasting impression made by a Rotary medical mission to Guatemala… Peggy recalled visiting us as an assistant governor and looks forward to making an official governor’s visit one day… Tracy thanked members for helping at the Patriots’ Day Beach Bazaar… Elizabeth Cutler delighted in letting us know that she and Pete were “bad a__ breadsellers“ (see image below)… Larry Marsolais said it is a pleasure to visit our vibrant, thriving club… Naomi Paris thanked us for the pleasure of visiting.
On some club assembly business, Erin asked for a vote on the board’s recommendation to contribute $257.23 to the Wells-Ogunquit Center at Moody to help with an upgrade of it’s AV system. This Thursday, April 25, at 6 P.M. is the Literary Awards ceremony for K-12 at Wells High School.
George Wilson provided a memorable classification talk. Those not present missed a good one.
