Dr. Joe tossed in a happy $15 having had lunch with about 40 Biddeford-Saco Rotarians at an outdoor in-person club meeting. Bob was very pleased that various family members were together for several days following son Michael’s conducting mass last Sunday at St. Mary’s in Wells. Tracy reported that Larry’s back surgery was more involved than anticipated but he is on the mend. On the downside, Tracy’s shoulder is a little out of whack. Get better, Tracy.
Dr. Edward Bilsky, Provost and Chief Academic Office at Pacific Northwest University, spoke at length today on the impact of COVID on the treatment of substance abuse disorder and chronic pain. Dr. Bilsky shared interesting details regarding the transmissibility of the virus and a number of notable falsehoods promulgated regarding COVID.
The June meeting of the board of directors is via Zoom at 5:00 pm tomorrow, Tuesday, June 8. One of the agenda items is the question of how, when and where to resume in-person club meetings. As is customary, all members are welcome to attend the meeting. The standard Zoom link used for all club meetings applies.
