About a dozen members joined in on the club Zoom meeting on Friday, June 5. Bob tells us that Rotary Park is taking shape. He asked Pete to hoist the American flag in the Cove. He also asked Erin to order a new Rotary flag for the Cove. Tracy’s shop is open – she’s had a few customers and she’s getting some painting done. Melanie is pleased that there is more activity in general. John is impressed that Pete has become a Zoom wizard! In response to Pete’s query, Alice reported that the Chamber booklets are at the printer and should be available in a couple of weeks. Pete says the Clynk account holds $193.90.

 

After a brief discussion, it was decided that a collective donation honoring the memory of Terry Hodskins Fullam will be made to the Rotary Foundation with a focus on RotoPlast. Anyone wishing to contribute should email Erin and send a check payable to Ogunquit Rotary to PO Box 2338, Ogunquit 03907.

 

The club has been notified that the 2020 Norm Wilkinson Creative Arts Scholarship will be awarded this Monday evening at 6:00 PM. Anyone wishing to see the virtual presentation should go to http://www.k12wocsd.net/

 

Emily provided a few updates… With the district grant for food insecurity, Erin purchased $625 in gift cards at IGA to be provided to YCCC. The new Barranquilla Colombia district grant was submitted by Nancy. The next board meeting will be on Zoom at 6:00 PM on Thursday, June 11.  

 

Following Emily’s updates, a productive discussion regarding the 2020-21 Changeover ensued. As reported in an email after the meeting, the event will take place (weather permitting) on Bob and Cheryl Cruickshank’s lawn overlooking the Marginal Way at 5:00 on Thursday, June 18.  If you have not already done so, please email Ed Seppa to indicate whether or not you will attend.
