Ed Smith and his wife, Julie, took a Christmas Caribbean cruise on the Queen Mary 2. Ed attended a Rotary meeting aboard the ship.
Ed says that there have been a dozen of so Rotarians on the ship on other cruises; this time five of them held a meeting. One woman was from England; the others were Americans from upstate New York and Long Island. (Seems they might have chosen to meet in Springfield, Mass!) In any case, they had a good discussion. It is not surprising that there were some common concerns expressed such as meeting attendance! Ed sees these meetings on a cruise as a good way to meet other Rotarians. I wonder... did he get a Meeting Make-up slip?
